Day 01

Arrival in Guwahati – Temple & City Tour

Arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station. Meet and greet by our representative and transfer to the hotel. Begin your Assam journey by visiting the famous Kamakhya Temple, one of the most important Shakti Peeth temples in India located on Nilachal Hill overlooking the Brahmaputra River. Later visit Umananda Temple located on Peacock Island in the Brahmaputra River. Evening free for local market visit or optional Brahmaputra river cruise. Overnight stay in Guwahati.

Day 02

Guwahati – Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary

After breakfast drive to Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary. Pobitora is famous for having the highest density of the Indian One-Horned Rhinoceros in the world. Enjoy an exciting Jeep Safari inside the sanctuary where you can spot rhinos, wild buffalo, deer and many migratory birds. Overnight stay near Pobitora.

Day 03

Pobitora – Kaziranga National Park

Morning breakfast then drive to Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its wildlife and scenic landscapes. After arrival check into your jungle resort and relax. In the evening visit Kaziranga Orchid and Biodiversity Park, where you can see rare orchid species and enjoy traditional Assamese cultural performances. Overnight stay in Kaziranga.

Day 04

Kaziranga Jeep Safari Experience

After breakfast enjoy an exciting Jeep Safari inside Kaziranga National Park (Included in the package). Kaziranga is home to the largest population of the Indian One-Horned Rhinoceros and also shelters elephants, wild buffalo, swamp deer and many bird species. The park’s tall elephant grasslands and wetlands make it one of the most famous wildlife photography destinations in India. Overnight stay in Kaziranga.

Day 05

Kaziranga – Majuli River Island

After breakfast drive to Jorhat and take a ferry across the Brahmaputra River to reach Majuli. Majuli is known as the world’s largest inhabited river island and has been the cultural and spiritual center of Assamese civilization for centuries. The island became famous during the 16th century when the great Assamese saint Srimanta Sankardev and his disciple Madhavdev spread the Neo-Vaishnavite culture across Assam. They established several monasteries known as Satras, which became centers of art, music, dance and religious teachings. Even today, Majuli preserves these traditions through classical dance forms like Sattriya and various cultural festivals. Visit important Satras such as: Auniati Satra, Kamalabari Satra. Overnight stay in Majuli.

Day 06

Majuli – Sivasagar Heritage Tour

Morning visit Samaguri Satra, famous for traditional mask making used in Assamese cultural performances. Later ferry back to Jorhat and drive to Sivasagar. Sivasagar was the historic capital of the Ahom Kingdom, which ruled Assam for nearly 600 years from the 13th century until the early 19th century. The Ahom rulers built magnificent palaces, temples and water tanks that reflect the architectural brilliance and cultural prosperity of the kingdom. Visit famous monuments including: Rang Ghar – One of Asia’s oldest amphitheaters, Talatal Ghar – A multi-storied palace with underground tunnels, Kareng Ghar – The royal palace of Ahom kings, Shivadol – One of the tallest Shiva temples in India. Overnight stay in Sivasagar.

Day 07

Sivasagar – Kaziranga

After breakfast drive from Sivasagar to Kaziranga National Park. Enjoy scenic countryside landscapes, tea gardens and rural Assamese villages during the journey. After arrival check into the resort and relax. Overnight stay in Kaziranga.

Day 08

Kaziranga – Guwahati Departure

Morning breakfast at the hotel. Later drive back to Guwahati and drop at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport or Guwahati Railway Station for onward journey.
